SAN DIEGO — “Black and blue. God vs. man. Day vs. night.”
So spoke Jesse Eisenberg, in the role of Lex Luthor in the brand new trailer for “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.”
The new footage was unleashed at the San Diego Comic-Con when the cast gathered at a panel for the mega-superhero movie, due in theaters March 25, 2016.
Not only did we see Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor, we also saw Gal Gadot in action for the first time as Wonder Woman.
This movie will be the first big screen appearance of the Amazon Princess, who will be celebrating her 75th birthday in comics when the film premieres.
There was more news in the world of DC Comics movies at the Warner Bros. Pictures panel.
The cast of next year’s “Suicide Squad,” including Will Smith and Margot Robbie also appeared, and showed footage to the crowd (Jared Leto’s Joker was seen for the first time, though Leto did not appear onstage).
A new “Green Lantern” movie, “Green Lantern Corps” is also due out in 2020.
The highly-anticipated companion series to “The Walking Dead” also released a trailer at San Diego Comic-Con on July 10.
“Fear the Walking Dead,” which appears to chronicle the beginning of the zombie apocalypse through the eyes of Los Angeles residents, premieres on Aug. 23 on AMC.
The new series, which focuses on brand new characters, will make way for a sixth season of the original “Walking Dead” on Oct. 11.
The residents of Alexandria — a safe haven from the walkers — begin to lose trust in Rick’s leadership in the trailer for the new season, which also debuted at Comic-Con.
The four-day Comic Con closed July 12 at the San Diego Convention Center.
