BOOK CORNER: Married couple discovers if another relationship is best

Tonya believes she’s found what most women want: to love and be loved. She is married to Benjamin and life seemed well until a trip home to Georgia opened her eyes to reality: Her husband is living a double life that does not include her or their 3-year-old son.

Secrets and lies continue to unravel making life more complicated. As love and happiness are pushed into the distance, will Tonya and Benjamin hold on to their relationship or is another relationship really what’s best?

That’s the basis of “Another Relationship” by Inglewood native Kristin Hurd.

Hurd is known for her realistic stories and the way she keeps her readers hooked from cover to cover.

“If a book doesn’t grab me from the first couple of pages, then I’m not going to read it,” Hurd said.

With reading standards like those, readers can be assured that Hurd does not disappoint her fans in “Another Relationship.”

The author’s favorite part of the book was watching Tonya “come into herself” and she said she hopes readers are able to see parts of themselves in her characters. More importantly, she hopes readers see the healing power of forgiveness and growth.

The book was inspired by events in Hurd’s life as well as the experiences of those who are close to her. Readers can expect that they won’t want to put this book down.

Hurd holds an associate of science degree in psychology from El Camino College. She is currently working on her fourth book, which has a connection to “Another Relationship.”

The author lives in Inglewood with her young daughter. She loves hearing from her readers and may be contacted via social media at @luvlymskrissy on Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and Facebook.

“Another Relationship” is available for $8 on Amazon. Digital copies are available for $2.99.
