Capri Maddox, special assistant attorney, was recently elected to the Climate Resolve Board of Directors.
Climate Resolve is a nonprofit whose focus is to find local solutions to global climate change.
Maddox has worked in the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office since 2012 and was elected to the Board of Public Works the same year.
She earned her master’s of public administration degree from Cal State Los Angeles and her law degree from the Pepperdine School of Law.
Lt. Gen. Stayce Harris was the guest of honor at the ninth annual University of Southern California Veterans and Reserve Officers’ Training Corps Gala.
Harris, a USC alumna, earned her title as lieutenant general in 2016, making her the first African American to achieve that rank in the U.S. Air Force.
Born in Los Angeles, Harris lived a few blocks down the street from USC. Her career in the Air Force is currently in its fourth decade.
Willie J. Hagan was recently honored by the California Legislature with an Assembly resolution.
Hagan, president of Cal State Dominguez Hills, was honored for his six years of service as president at Dominguez Hills and for his four decades of service in higher education.
Hagan will retire from his position after the university’s commencement in May.
