The Black Public Relations Society of Los Angeles presented the Pat Tobin Public Relations Excellence Awards to Kenneth R. Reynolds, president/CEO of boutique agency Public Relations+, Roslyn Bibby-Madison, vice president of media relations for FX Networks, Cassandra Butcher, vice president of national publicity for Fox Searchlight Pictures and Rita Cooper Lee, senior vice president of communications for WGN America and Tribune Studios.

According to officials, the March 12 ceremony recognized achievements made by professionals who continue Pat Tobin’s legacy in shaping a positive narrative for their clients.

In an effort to diversify Toyota’s global leadership team, the company’s president has appointed Christopher P. Reynolds and Sandra Phillips to executive positions.

Reynolds, appointed to general counsel and chief legal officer, is the first African American to hold either position globally.

Phillips will be the first African American woman to head Toyota’s North American legal operations in her position as vice president and deputy general counsel.
