Entrepreneur Delbra Richardson Price has been appointed to the California Cultural and Historical Endowment.
Richardson Price is founder and president of Del Richardson and Associates, a public affairs and right-of-way consulting firm.
The new appointee previously served on the city of Carson Mobile Home Rent Review Board and the Compton Unified School District Advisory Board.
She also is the wife of Los Angeles City Councilman Curren D. Price, who represents District 9.
Tana M. Sesson, director of human capital for Golden State Water Company in San Dimas, has been elected to the board of the Boys and Girls Club of Hollywood.
The human resource professional has worked at Capco, The Center for Discovery, Coleman Research Group and Ernst & Young.
Sesson also is a career coach for Dress for Success Worldwide, a nonprofit that provides professional attire and career development to low-income women.
Jessicka Mears is starting the 2015-16 school year with a new position as principal of Foster Elementary School in Compton, school officials announced.
The Inglewood native attended San Diego State University where she earned her bachelor’s degree and holds two master’s degrees from National and Pepperdine universities.
The new principal is currently pursuing a doctorate in educational leadership.
Mears said she plans to focus on making Foster become a certified Achievement Via Individual Determination School, a program that helps directs students on the path towards college and careers.
