After 40 years in public service, Vince Meredith Harris, chief deputy to Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas, will retire.
Ridley-Thomas honored Harris during the county Board of Supervisors meeting Sept. 1.
Harris says he has served in a variety of administrative, policy and political capacities over the course of his public service career, which included working as a deputy state director during President Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign and as deputy chief of staff for former Gov. Gray Davis.
