Cheers West Edition

Tony Rhambo, a Los Angeles-based guitar instructor, recently closed a deal with the Hallmark Channel. Three of his original compositions, co-written with actor Jesse Metcalfe, were featured on the network’s American-Canadian drama series “Chesapeake Shores,” starring Metcalfe, Meghan Ory, Treat Williams, Barbara Niven and Diane Ladd.

Rhambo arranged the songs’ musical compositions and Metcalfe wrote the lyrics. The show aired this fall through October and several episodes featured Rhambo’s arrangements; including “Begin Again,” and “When It’s Real” performed by the show’s lead actor Metcalfe.

Rhambo grew up in Leimert Park and attended Fairfax High School. His family owned a local clothing boutique for women, which was run by his father, Barnett Wilbanks.
