Vendors and representatives from various agencies attend a health and wellness event from 9 a.m. to noon June 9 at the Norwalk Senior Center, 14040 San Antonio Drive.
Participants include the Braille Institute, Alzheimer’s of Greater Los Angeles, Pioneer Medical Group, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Norwalk Dial-A-Ride and many more. They offer information and answer questions about available resources for local senior citizens. Health screenings also are provided.

Air quality meeting: The South Coast Air Quality Management District hosts a public meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. at South Gate Park, 4900 Southern Ave., to discuss the prioritization of environmental justice communities where enhanced monitoring and/or emission reduction strategies may be implemented under a new law, Assembly Bill 617, which creates more opportunities to collaborate with environmental justice communities to improve air quality in the hardest-hit areas in the region.
