LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers open their sixth home stand of the season Thursday with a four-game series against the St. Louis Cardinals.
Right handed pitcher Michael Wacha starts for the Cardinals against the Dodgers’ right-hander Carlos Frias.
Friday’s game features the Cardinals’ Carlos Martinez against Brett Anderson. On Saturday, ace lefty Clayton Kershaw throws for the Dodgers against Jaime Garcia and on Sunday Zack Grienke goes against Lance Lynn.
The Thursday, Friday and Saturday games begin at 7:10 p.m. and the Sunday game has a 5:10 start time.
Prior to Saturday’s game will be the Hollywood Stars Game at 5 p.m. Popular talk show host Larry King and actor, director, producer and writer Garry Marshall will manage the teams
Celebrities expected to participate in the game include: Alan Thicke, Anthony Anderson, James Van Der Beek, Kevin McHale, Jaleel White, model Charlotte McKinney, Tyler Hoechlin, Austin Stowell, Clark Gregg, Vivica A. Fox, Brian Dietzen, Michael Weatherly, Omar Miller and Heather McDonald.
Former WNBA great Lisa Leslie, USA soccer star Landon Donovan, Entertainment Tonight co-host Kevin Frazier, actor/comedian Rob Riggle, tennis pro Mardy Fish and Blink 182 bassist Mark Hoppus will also be showcasing their softball talents. Glee star Dot Marie Jones will serve as a coach for the game.
The Military Hero of the Game will be Navy E6 Petty Officer First Class Ramon Noriega of Montebello. Noriega has served three deployments to the Arabian Gulf guiding missile destroyers and serving on aircraft carriers. He is currently stationed at the Center for Information Dominance Unit as a naval instructor in San Diego.
Following the series with the Cardinals, the Dodgers take on the Arizona Diamondbacks June 8-10.
All three games start at 7:10 p.m.
