Graduations begin at area high schools

Area school districts are making plans for graduation ceremonies with the Alhambra Unified School District getting a jump on other districts this week.

Century and Independence high schools, the district’s two alternative high schools, hold their graduation at 6 p.m. May 28 at San Gabriel High School Stadium, 801 Ramona St., San Gabriel.

Mark Keppel High School, Alhambra, holds its ceremony at  9 a.m. May 30 at East Los Angeles College, 1301 Avenida Cesar Chavez, Monterey Park.; followed immediately by Alhambra High School’s ceremony at 1 p.m.

San Gabriel High School will hold its ceremony on campus at 6 p.m., May 29.

In the Bellflower Unified School District, Somerset High School seniors will graduate at 6:30 p.m. June 16 on the school campus, 9242 Laurel St. in Bellflower; Bellflower High seniors will graduate at 6:30 p.m. June 17 in Ron Yary Stadium on the school campus, 15303 McNab Ave. in Bellflower; and Mayfair  High seniors have commencement ceremonies at 7:30 p.m. June 18 at Yary Stadium.

In the Downey Unified School District, Columbus High School will hold its graduation at 6:30 p.m. June 16 on the school grounds, 12330 Woodruff Ave.

Downey High School will hold its graduation at 6 p.m. June 17 at the Cerritos College Stadium, 11110 Alondra Blvd. in Norwalk

Warren High School will hold its graduation at 6 p.m. June 19 at Cerritos College Stadium.

The Downey Adult School will hold its graduation at 5 p.m. June 25 at the Harriet Paine Event Center at the school, 12340 Woodruff Ave.

Graduation ceremonies in the El Rancho Unified School District in Pico Rivera will be at 4:30 p.m. June 6 for Salazar High School and 7 p.m. June 11 for El Rancho High, both in the El Rancho High Stadium, 6501 S. Passons Blvd.

In the Lynwood Unified School District, Lynwood High School will hold its graduation at 6 p.m. June 1 at USC’s Galen Center, 3400 S. Figueroa St. Los Angeles.

Lynwood Adult School will hold its ceremony at 5 p.m. June 3 at Lynwood High, 4050 Imperial Highway.

Marco Firebaugh High School will hold its graduation at 6 p.m. June 4 at Whittier College, 13406 E. Philadelphia St., Whittier.

Vista High School will hold its ceremony at 1 p.m. June 5 at Bateman Hall, 11331 Ernestine Ave., Lynwood.

In the Montebello Unified School District, the Adult School graduation is set for 7:30 p.m. June 5 in the auditorium of Montebello High, 2100 W. Cleveland Ave.

Students from the Applied Technology Center, 1200 W. Mines Ave, Montebello, will graduate at 6 p.m. June 16 in the amphitheater at the school.

Vail High School conducts graduation at 5 p.m. June 17 at the school, 1230 Vail Ave., Montebello.

Schurr High seniors will graduate at 6:30 p.m. June 17 in Weingart Stadium at East Los Angeles College.

Bell Gardens High School conducts commencement exercises at 6 p.m. June 18 at East Los Angeles College.

Montebello High will graduate its seniors at 6 p.m. June 18 at Heaman Field on the school campus.

In the Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District, Southeast Academy will hold graduation at 4 p.m. June 15 in the Excelsior Auditorium, 15711 S. Pioneer Blvd., Norwalk.

John Glenn High Schoolwill hold graduation at 6:30  p.m. June 15 at Excelsior Stadium.

El Camino High School, 14625 Keese  Drive, Whittier, will hold graduation at 4 p.m. June 16 on campus.

La Mirada High School, 13520 Adelfa Drive, La Mirada, will hold graduation at 6:30 p.m. June 16 in the campus stadium.

The district’s Adult School will hold graduation at 4 p.m. June 17 in the Excelsior Auditorium.

Norwalk High School will hold graduation at 5:30 p.m. June 17 in Excelsior Stadium.

The Paramount Unified School District, will conduct ceremonies for Buena Vista High School at 6 p.m. June 9 in the Paramount High School gym, 14429 S. Downey Ave. Paramount.

Paramount High School will hold graduation at 6 p.m. June 11 on campus.

Paramount Adult School will hold graduation at 6:30 July 17 at Paramount High School West, 14708 S. Paramount Blvd.

In the Whittier Union High School District all schools have commencement ceremonies June 3

California High School, 9800 Mills Ave., Whittier, will hold ceremonies on campus at 6:30 p.m.

La Serna High School, will hold graduation at 6 p.m. at La Mirada High School Stadium, 13520 Adelfa Drive, La Mirada;

Pioneer High School, 10800 E. Benavon St., Whittier, will hold graduation at 6 p.m. on campus.

Santa Fe High School will hold graduation at 6 p.m. at Cerritos College Stadium, 11110 Alondra Blvd., Norwalk.
