HOLLYWOOD — Diahann Carroll and Rich Little were among the honorees May 31 as the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Community Foundation conducted the annual Heroes of Hollywood Awards Luncheon at the Taglyan Cultural Complex.
Carroll, an actress, singer and model; received the 2018 Mary Pickford Award, which goes to a celebrity who has made a significant difference in the entertainment industry and the Hollywood community.
Little, known as the “man of a thousand voices” for his impersonation skills, received the Distinguished Service Award in Memory of Johnny Grant, the longtime ceremonial mayor of Hollywood.
Also honored were David Green, Amy Lemisch, John Tronson, Fabio Conti, and Chiara Santi
Heroes of Hollywood is the most recognized fundraising event of the year for the chamber’s Community Foundation. The event has saluted more than 150 Hollywood leaders and has raised more than $860,000.
Last year’s event raised over $20,000 in grants, which, in turn, were awarded to nonprofit organizations in Hollywood.
