‘Three Times a Lady’
comes to Inglewood

The story centers around the life and marriage of Dr. Viola Stafford (Denise Dowse), as she comes to grips with her husband Bill’s (Alex Morris) sudden and staggering revelation — news that will change their lives forever. Viola and Bill, along with Viola’s best friends, the flower child Wanda (Karen Bankhead) and the Diva Rose (Rhonda Morman) will take you on an emotional roller coaster throughout the play.

SOUTH LOS ANGELES — Council District 8 and PLC Construction will host Careers in Construction workshop from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Dec. 11, at the Community Coalition, 8101 Vermont Ave.
The workshop will discuss various pathways and skills necessary to start a career in the trades. Participants will learn about construction skills required, sustaining wages and benefits and available resources.

LONG BEACH – “The Nightmare Before Christmas Beer Festival” will be held from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Dec. 14, on the Queen Mary, 1126 Queens Highway.
The Grand Salon will be transformed into Halloween Town complete with characters and plenty of photo ops. The event features unlimited samples of 20 different winter, pumpkin and holiday ales from local breweries.

LOS ANGELES — The “2018 People of Change Awards Gala” will be held from 6 to 11p.m., Dec. 14, at The Foundation Center, 11633 S. Western Ave, Los Angeles.
The event will highlight achievements made by notable change makers in the fields of science, technology, engineering, math, business and economic development and civic engagement.
The night will include both a silent and live auction, live music, DJ after-party, and a great array of food. The goal of this event is to raise funds for the work that is being done in Southern California.
