Six USC Trojans and three UCLA Bruins were selected last week in the National Football League’s annual draft.
USC defensive lineman Leonard Williams was the sixth selection overall in the draft, going to the New York Jets. Wide receiver Nelson Agholor went 14 picks later to the Philadelphia Eagles.
UCLA linebacker Eric Kendricks and defensive lineman Owamagbe Odighizuwa were chosen on the second day of the draft. Kendricks went in the second round (the 45th overall pick) to the Minnesota Vikings and Odighizuwa went in the third round (74th pick) to the New York Giants.
Four more Trojans and UCLA quarterback Brett Hundley waited for the third day to be drafted.
Hundley fell all the way to the fifth round where he was selected by the Green Bay Packers as the 147th overall pick.
Trojan defensive back Josh Shaw and running back Javorius Allen were drafted in the fourth found, Shaw by the Cincinnati Bengals and Allen by the Baltimore Ravens. The Cleveland Browns drafted tight end Randall Telfair in the sixth round and linebacker Hayes Pullard, a Crenshaw High product, went to the Browns in the seventh round.
